Neasa's classes currently run in Renmore, Galway (see the Contact page for the full address and map of location); they cater to Beginner, Improver and Intermediate level students and are open to both women and men. Classes are normally divided into ten week terms but it is possible to drop in for one class, pay for a smaller group of classes or join mid-term. Classes never contain more than fifteen students so individual attention is guaranteed. The classes follow the principle of HAES (Health At Every Size) meaning that the focus is not on how our bodies look but rather how they feel.
Classes are taught in a Hatha style; each class begins with pranayama (breathing exercises) and ends with guided meditation. Yoga is primarily about finding harmony in the body and mind and Beginner and Improver students should find the emphasis is on building up core strength and bringing the skeleton back into alignment.
Currently we are running two yoga classes, the first a class for Improver and intermediate students runs on a Tuesday from 6.45pm to 7.45pm. The second class, for Beginners, runs on a Thursday from 6.30 pm to 7.30pm. There are places available in both classes. To book a place on either or both courses, go to the Contact page.
